Nestled in the corner of Chandos Street and Queen Anne Street in is a magical townhouse with stories of lavish weddings and parties hidden it’s walls. Built in the 18th century, Chandos House is a Georgian masterpiece that underwent a £5 million restoration in 2005. Always on the hunt to expand my list of venues to introduce Extraordinary couples to, I recently made my way to Chandos house with the talented London wedding photographer, Kate Nielen, to see what Chandos House had to offer.

Chandos is an exclusive use venue (meaning that you would have the entire house to yourself for your wedding day) in the heart of London, between Mayfair and Marylebone. It is licensed to hold civil ceremonies for up to 80 guests and is ideal for wedding breakfasts for up to 110 guests. If you are inviting evening guests, there is room for 150 for an evening reception.

One of the best parts of Chandos House is that there is a large and private outdoor terrace, which is usually so hard to find in London. For weddings, cushions and lanterns decorate the space.

Another excellent part of Chandos House is that it has 17 bedrooms on site so that you, your family, your bridesmaids, and ushers can all stay during your wedding weekend.

After your big wedding evening, Chandos will host breakfast for those staying overnight in the house which extends your festivities into the next morning!
